Short of doing some sort of chemical analysis you would have to have a good eye and good nose to tell the difference. Due to lower sulfur content ULSD has a lighter, clearer, less yellow color and does not have the sulfur odor you would get from LSD - at least that is what I have read. I do not know if I could tell as I have never tried to compare. Maybe collect a container of Pemex LSD to save until back in the states and then collect another container of ULSD and put them side by side for a look and then sniff to see if you can tell the difference. They claim there is a noticeable difference.
