While your info is appreciated I think it is important to point out that prolonged use of NON ULSD may void your EMISSIONS system warranty which for the Dodge is a separate warranty than the rest of the truck.
IF you have a later problem with the emissions system it could be on your nickel.
Absolutely correct fulltimedaniel, testing of the emissions systems components by the manufacturers prior to starting to install those components on assembly lines found that using Mexican LSD FOR MORE THAN 40,000 CONTINUOUS MILES would begin to reduce the efficiency of the system. Any Snowbird driving more than 40,000 continuous miles on Mexican LSD during a winter season could be risking some damage to the SCR/DPF.
Using higher sulfur fuel has NO effect on engine components, and there is no way that I am aware of that would allow a dealership to detect that an owner had used Mexican LSD as fuel for the truck. It is actually the emissions system components that can be temporarily "poisoned" by sulfur compounds between regenerations, but there is also no way to test whether Mexican LSD exhaust has passed through the emissions system.
The fact is that hundreds, perhaps thousands, of late model diesel truck owners take their trucks in to Mexico every winter and that number grows every year. In the hundreds of case files in my database I have only ONE case where the owner ran in to warranty problems after telling his Ford dealer that he was in Mexico. Most dealers don't care.
