Jim, yes pets are allowed on the island. Click on the site below for FAQs regarding visits to Mackinac Island. Shepler's Ferry service is one of the 3 that handle transporting to and from the island. You can get a ferry in downtown St. Ignace or across the bridge in Mackinaw City. Have a great trip!
