US 50 through Western Colorado

Beautiful drive.
Good news is that there are no 2000 foot dropoffs with no guard rails or severe curves. You will have Monarch Pass with 6% grades for a while and some 30 to 45 mile curves. In fact, that is the only alert in Mountain Directory West from Grand Junction to Pueblo. With DP I cannot envision you having issue. But allow time as there can be some slow traffic; but there are also passing lanes.
We will be driving it again this Fall.
