It's not recommended that you drive 14A. You will encounter 5, 7, 8, and 10% grades for many miles.
Hwy 14 also has 5-7% grades.
If you're around Buffalo, WY then Hwy 16 is a better alternative. Then head north on 16/20 to Greybull. Stay there and make a day trip in your vehicle of a circular drive on 14 and 14A. It's a beautiful drive but not in a RV.
If you're planning Yellowstone you could then take 20 west to Cody (an awesome museum) and then into the east entrance of Yellowstone.
If you're going to do a lot of western mountains, I'd recommend purchasing online the 'Mountain Directory West' for Trucker & Rvers. It will give you good details on what to expect. We love mountain driving but we always check them out before.
