- VeebyesExplorer IIYou can probably 'drive' the whole thing on street view in Google Earth.
Who needs a RV anymore? - Desert_CaptainExplorer IIIGreat pics, that is exactly what I was talking about. How would you like to pull a Class A or big fiver over on those roads and have to change a tire? Gorgeous road, we loved the drive but not with anything large. :C
- c_traveler2Nomad IIIt's a great scenic route that I've taken several times in my TC. What I've seen taking this route are 5th wheels, TT, MH, and simi-trucks. There are some steep areas, but very manageable.
Hwy14 east just outside of Cedar City
Navajo Lake stop east bound
Duck Creek area, east bound
This sign is at the Hwy89 intersection on Hwy14 going west.

Narrow as in substandard lane width, or just lacking wide paved shoulders?
The lanes are standard width but much of this road lacks anything resembling a wide shoulder. If you have any sort of a breakdown it is going to be a problem. :C - VeebyesExplorer IIDid that drive, with trailer, just a few months ago. Hwy 14 from east to west though. The road itself is fine as far as we were concerned. Not overly narrow, but then we are not interstate cruisers so most any road that is paved is fine for us.
The grade coming out of Cedar City eastbound is quite long & steep but if you have the truck for it, & are content to go up at a reasonable speed, no big problem.
It is a very scenic route well worth the extra time it may take. - LaurenExplorerI should have taken more time on my posting above - or waited until I did have more time!
We asked the same question a few years ago and used the hwy 20.
But, same as Rae & Mark, we did drive the hwy 14. Just the truck. Beautiful drive but glad we did not have the 5er. - Bull_RiderExplorerWe pulled a 30 bumper pull from 89 west to Cedar City, never gave it a second thought. No worries....
- RaenMarkExplorerGo north on I15 a few miles and go over UT20. We drove both in April. UT14 in the toad and UT20 in the MH. You can do 14, but as mentioned above, twisty, high, lots of downgrade and pulling. UT 20 was a much easier drive.
