Some years ago, coming from the south (Mokee Dugway) we got to Hall's Crossing late in the day, after the last sailing (ignoring any signs on hwy 95 about ferry hours). But that was ok, we had a nice night at the park (blm?) campground on the hill above the crossing (a bit windy though).
We crossed the next morning, along with the area school bus. The ramp down to water level was long but not too steep. That varies with water level.
