Thanks again for the websites and areas to ride. We are in Grand Junction Colorado tonight and will be heading south tomorrow. Probably spend a day or two in moab and around Arches park, then head to Grand Canyon for a couple days unail we are tired of the cold. After that we will head towards the warm weather!
I appreciate the specifics given by thunder mountain, looks like we will find plenty to keep us occupied!
When you head out - jump off at EXIT 214 on I-70 to RT 128 along the Colorado River - this is a drive you will LOVE!
Just before you get to Moab you'll pass a few good Dry Spots along the River - Great spot this time of Year.
Layer up - Good Boots - Gloves - Hat and Sunglasses, and you will be fine.
What roads do you plan on taking South?
IMHO this is the time to be where you are - no Crowds - Bright Sun - Just beautiful.
If you Take RT 191 south think about Monument Valley - Mexican Hat and Goosenecks State Park - all are just special.
When we are heading this way we usually will slide on down to Canyon de Chelly then come into the Grand Canyon from the east on Rt 64. Different and for some reason this area just feels Spiritual to me. The Native Americans/Navajos are great people if you reach out to them. Think Antelope Canyon - Page on the Lake.
I could go on and on but ...............
Best of Luck,
