The Gulf coast highway, from Veracruz to Santiago has a huge washout. Coming from the south is ok. They are working 24/7 to get traffic moving and I would expect within a week. Mail me later so I can give you the latest update.
There's two other ways here to Catemaco but it adds hours on the drive.
