Visiting New York City and Washington DC

We are currently near Boston and would like to visit New York City and DC. Looking for suggestions on where we could park our MH out side these cities. Then take some sort of public transit into these cities. Any information on some sort of bus tours of these cities would be appreciated. I have tried looking on line not much help. I am looking for some first hand experience from those who have done something like this.
Any advise would be very helpful.

Yes I am looking for a CG. Thanks for your replys just what we were looking for.

Cherry Hill is a nice CG designed for those seeing DC.
Liberty Harbour is more of a parking lot with hook ups designed for those touring NYC.
What Liberty lacks in the way of a traditional camping experience it makes up for through its close proximity to NYC.

Another NYC option is Croton Point Park. It is a traditional CG (county Park)with full hook ups located on the Hudson river. It is about a 45 minute train ride to Grand Central Station from Croton Point

  • Liberty Harbor in Jersey City. Take the PATH to 33rd St. and purchase a Grey Line tour right out of the station.
  • I assume you are looking for CG's in those areas not just a parking lot somewhere
Liberty Harbour in Jersey city for touring NYC and Cherry Hill in College Park, MD for touring DC.
Both places are convenient to public transportation into the city
  • There is both a Walmart and Sam's club in Secaucus on a NJ Transit bus line. This is not to far off I95 give them a call and see if you can leave the Class A in their parking lot while you go into the city.
