Where are you starting from and going to on tomorrows drive? You can use secondary roads to completely by-pass Houston to the north (through Conroe for example). At RV driving speed and considering rush hour traffic, they are not longer time wise depending on your start/stop place (Junction, TX to Lake Charles, LA for example).
