If a merchant charges 3% on my credit card and my credit card charges me 2.5, it makes up to 5.5%, well, this could be the best deal! I will check all this and see what are the total charges with ATM compare to the exchange rate. One thing I know for sure, I got ripoff in Cancun in one of the machine, but I don't remember the brand, I only got money one time.
My canadian Capital One MC credit card is allways in line with the exchange rate, this at least I am sure, I do check at random the historic rates when I buy in USA, but they charge 2.5%, nothing I can do about this, both MCard and Visa charges 2.5%.
