- 7000 miles Kerrville TX to Tok Alaska, we took the long way we had a month to get there.
- Durango, Co to Skagway, AK 3000 mi. more or less. Drove up in a Volkswagen Camper van with two women, three less than 5 yr old kids, 3 large dogs and me. The dogs were the best behaved of the bunch.
- 10,000 in four months through the western U.S. and then from Vancouver to Ottawa. We flew from Ottawa to Nova Scotia for a week before heading back home. Won't do it again unless we are full-timers and we have a year to take our time.
- 10,000 miles round trip more or less. Cincinnati, OH to Cooper Landing, AK. with a few side trips. A friend had a summer place in Cooper Landing, AK. on the Kenai Peninsula. My Dad always wanted to visit Alaska, but didn't live long enough to do the trip. Somehow, I think he made it.

OKC is very nearly at the center of the 48.
We did just return from a 9200mile trip to get in our 4th corner at Cape Flattery in WA. It is only 2000 miles to Seattle, but we did take in HY 101 down to Cresent city, CA, along with 12 states and 7 National Parks.
Key West is only 1600miles. But we managed 8000miles one year by taking a detour to mile marker 0 on US1 in ME.

- Um, where should I draw the line on "one way" for this trip: central Virginia to UP Michigan, across the plains via US 2 to Redmond, WA; then across Puget Sound to Olympic Pennisula. From there down the coast to LA, then Vegas, St. Louis, Nashville, and on to DC, then home. Did not at any time go back the way I came on any road. Total dual loop was around 9,000 miles. Feel free to decide how much of the trip was "one way."
- Macon,Ga to Coldfoot,Alaska in a pick up truck alone.5000+- miles I think.
