Which to choose through Kentucky or West Virginia

We are heading down to North Carolina from Ohio and MapQuest takes us 3 different ways. We are starting out in Xenia Ohio and ending up down at Elk Park North Carolina. We will be pulling a large 38...

One of the worst interstates I've ever been on was I-77 between Charleston and Beckley, WV, AKA the West Virginia Turnpike. And to add insult to injury, they made you pay for the abuse. Narrow, curvy, hilly, bumpy, and tons of big rigs bulling their way past you. Never again for me. So I guess I'm saying I don't recommend your 3rd option. Can't speak to your other two options.
