Which to choose through Kentucky or West Virginia

We are heading down to North Carolina from Ohio and MapQuest takes us 3 different ways. We are starting out in Xenia Ohio and ending up down at Elk Park North Carolina. We will be pulling a large 38...

We prefer Rt23 for on our trips from WV to the Smoky Mountains. It is a very easy, relaxing tow. We take it all the way from I64 to 11W.
