It is a foot path. Drive up to Whitney Portal and take the Mount Whitney Trail over the 14,000' pass to John Muir Trail. Then branch off to the desired destination.
Have your crew drive the RV south around to Bakersfield to the south and up or continue up 395N to Tioga Road 120 to go over the sierra direct into Yosemite.
