Whistler Campground, Jasper and Mount Kidd RV Park

Just seeing if anyone has been to either of these places. I've got 5 days booked in each place in mid-August and I'm just looking for opinions. They've both got good reviews from what I've seen but ...

The so-called daily fire permit is an irritation but it includes all the wood you could possible want. You have to pick through a woodpile to get it. No, it is not nicely bundled for you.

The real problem is the fire rings. Itty bitty firerings. The wood is cut too long to fit in them. You have to wonder sometimes when one hand does not know what the other is doing. What does it take to have the machine cut the wood shorter?
