What are the options for RV parking in Whitehorse? We are in a 30-foot class C and toad-less. We want to visit the downtown/waterfront area. Is there any place reasonably close we can park for 1/2-full day...not overnight, just to tour the area on foot during the day?

Walmart. Can even catch a trolly from there for $2.

And if Wally is full go next door to Canadian Tire. Not a problem.

There is 2 hour RV parking next to the visitor center and we saw lots of RVs at Walmart but it is a bit of a walk to downtown from there. We stayed at Robert Service CG and walked in to town from there but I don't think they have day parking

Visitor center is a great option. Walmat parking is limited during the day, nights are ok but if you're heading to Ak. move down the road to Haines Jct. to Pine Lake campground. Next morning visit the Village Bakery turn right at the Raven motel. If heading to Dawson there are several campgrounds just down the rd. make it at least a 2 day trip to Dawson, plenty to see fishing.

We were in Whitehorse a few days ago, they have RV parking at the visitor center and else where in the city. The Walmart there is a mecca of RV's parked there. The visitor center has free WiFi, it's slow but does work.

Diesel fuel was about 124.9/liter at the we were there.

Thanks! It sounds like this is our best bet. I found it on Google Earth and access looks easy as long as the lot is not full. And its right in the area we want to get to as well.

The easiest day parking for RVs is at Shipyards Park, from where you can easily walk downtown or take the historic trolley. Shipyards is at the north end of Second Avenue, along the Yukon River. There are other spots, but Shipyards is where you will almost always find room.

Canadian Tire was mentioned above - the lot is tight and they do not welcome RVs.
