Will the bad news change my plan travel to Mexico?

Don't want to start an old debate, but lately I have been reading that crime is on the rise, especially with the cartels, more people get killed, teachers blocking roads etc. I am about to pay for ...

My only point with the list was that Mexico is not on it. We hear trolls on this forum stirring up problems and saying how dangerous Mexico is but they have not been. Not sure where they get their info from. Well, I actually do think I know where they get it but I do not want to start any kind of political discourse here.
