Williamsburg to Williston Fl.

We are leaving Dec 26th from Mi. and going to visit our Children in Williamsburg Va. we are staying at Cheatham Annex for a week. We will then be leaving for our final destination to our winter spot in Williston Fl. I looked at different options and it looks like a good rte. may be to take 664 to hwy 13 to 17 and stay on 17 until it meets 95 again staying on 95 until we get to A1A just N. of jacksonville take A1A west until it turns into 301 301 S. to Waldo then 20 &24 T0 121 ON INTO williston.

Any comments about this route are appreciated.

    We just travelled that route a few days ago. That stretch of 301 sure is entertaining when it comes to being designed as one long speed trap. Even though the world famous Waldo scam is shut down, there are certainly other opportunities to donate to local jurisdictions. At one point in Starke, IIRC, there is a spot where the limit drops by another ten, and just after the sign is a deputy hiding deep under a low hanging tree. This trap is so heavily used that there are deep ruts where the cruiser backs in to the hole, LOL.

    I've done this route for years. The construction on 200/A1A is now complete and it is all 4 lanes to Baldwin, just north of the I-10/301 interchange.

    Observe the speed limits on 301. It goes up and down many times entering small towns.

    I'll guess you're going to Williston Crossings.

    I too was thinking WILLISTON ND when I first saw this post - A few years ago you could not find any RV Campground available to use in that area due to the OIL BOOM up there... I think it has gotten better now however...

    I've done this route for years. The construction on 200/A1A is now complete and it is all 4 lanes to Baldwin, just north of the I-10/301 interchange.
