Winter Route to South Texas
We are planning our winter route to southern Texas from Saskatchewan in a motorhome towing. We would like to know which route you recommend and where the best places to stay are.

South of San Antonio leave the Interstate (I-37) and get on US-281 near Three Rivers. It is a very good road and is shorter going to Weslaco. My winter home is on the Donna-Weslaco border and I use that route all the time.
