Winter Route to South Texas
We are planning our winter route to southern Texas from Saskatchewan in a motorhome towing. We would like to know which route you recommend and where the best places to stay are.

We go down the east side of TX , cut over to Waco and down 77 to Victoria. From there either over to the coast, or continue south on 77. We miss the traffic in all the large cities.
I have lived in East Texas all my life. The above quote is good advice in my opinion. We go often to the Texas Valley in Winter for a few days and we often follow the route above. I can give several possible routes through East Texas, but right now we are in New Mexico so I won't go into that detail
