After leaving Yosemite we traveled through the park on 120 to 395 on our way to Reno. It was suggested to us as long as we were traveling to Reno on 395 we should check out Bodie ghost town. The guy that told us about it said "yeah you can take your fifth wheel right into Bodie". There would be plenty of parking there for us. He said "in fact I've been there a couple of times with my class C". So we thought why not see an old ghost town. Turning off of 395 onto 270 it didn't look all that bad till we got with in three miles of Bodie, that's when things turned REALLY bad! The road turned to gravel and had pot holes the size of Buicks! I ended up backing up three or four hundred yards back to the pavement and we dropped the trailer there and "bounced" into Bodie!! WORST road I have ever been on in my life and I drove truck for forty years and NEVER been on one that bad! Thank God we were only on that crappy road for three miles each way!
I will say once there we were glad we put ourselves through that rough road.
