If your range is over 75 miles you will be fine for either fuel or gas.

14 and 16 are both good. 14A is steep heading up the west side. Coming down on the east side you join up with 14 near Burgess Junction.

US-16 between Ten Sleep and Buffalo is the better of the two routings as far as grade and turns go.

Stay on the US two-digit numbered highways and you'll rarely go wrong.

Beware that Google Maps may try to divert you onto county roads to save a mile or two. They're gravel. Ask me how I know....

I agree with Texas. 16 coming across the Bighorns is a beautiful ride. It is steep in a few places and there is a couple of up hill switchbacks near the top.
14 is steep and a bit narrow and more crooked.

The road coming east out of Cody is just a road. NOthing spectacular and little green and wet.

We used 14 as I recall wasn't bad. Had a 35 foot 5th wheel at the time.

16 is better than 14, but the descent is long, so watch your brakes. there is a dump station near the top of the pass if you need it.

Route is fine we have taken it several time 38ft motor home towing a Jeep
