Yellowstone east entrance
Anyone taken a 45' fifth wheel thru the Yellowstone east entrance to Fishing Bridge?

bumpy - Yes. Ours at the time was a 32 foot TT, not a fifth, but still it was fine. As mentioned, easy pace, gears, it's all good. Note we also left the park that way.
(did yellowstone, then tetons, then back thru yellowstone to south dakota) - Over the bighorns is the more challenging part of the drive. The east entrance is a climb but nothign extreme.
If you aren't underpowered and you've done any driving in the mountains, it shouldn't be a big deal. - Taken our 37 ft MH several times not even close to a problem - Bumpy is not correct
- I’ll be taking that route in September. My 5er is quite a bit smaller at 30 feet in length.
This will be my first trip through any mountains and I’m curious to see how well my truck can pull the 5er. It will be less than 10,000 lbs. so I really don’t anticipate any problem. The route through the Bighorns on 16 does look like it’s more challenging than the later route from Cody to Fishing Bridge. I’ll be making good use of the lowers gears in the transmission. Just take your time. If you start to get a line behind you, pull off and let it clear. If the truck is in good running condition, shouldn't be an issue.
It's a route for the national park so it's not about doing 75mph up a grade.
