- dicknellenExplorer IIIt is in the town of Hawthorne not far from the Safeway store. We have stayed there, nothing special, but a nice park. If you don't need hookups and want a water view I would stay about 15 miles North at Sportsman Beach, Fed. park. Regards, Dick

- JmactootallExplorerGoogle Earth shows it at 95 and S 1St. 95 East out of Hawthorne and Looks like you can see it from roadway.
- dkreuzenExplorerI have stayed there many times. It's new enough that it doesn't show up on some maps or satellite imagery. Just north of town and the entrance road is about 500ft south of the building and it's easy to pass up if you don't see it.

I don't know what you are looking at but the Park is actually between 26th and 27th St. cross street is Essex. - tpiExplorerIt is clearly visible from 95. It is just northwest of the Safeway on the same side of the street. Google Earth shows Whiskey Flat but you need to locate the Safeway and then find it.
Decent place for overnight stop. I hadn't heard of it before, pulled in by seeing the sign as I was going north on 95.
