It's been a couple years (maybe three) since we stayed in that area. We were surprised to see things like shuffle board and bingo nights in the parks. We would ask about biking and hiking groups and generally got a dear in the headlight look. I wonder if the vacancy rate in that area is related to a possible social shift in what retirement is. A couple had no tennis courts. Don't know if that's a local thing or not. Nice friendly folks though. Helpful too. Enjoyed our stays anyways. Will be back thru next fall but only in passing on the way to SoCal. San Antonio was fun too.
