Which is why I have always considered such marketing schemes are misguided. My guess is they are upsetting more current $800 customers than they will ever create future $800.00 customers. I think the vast majority of the $200.00 customers will think that at $200.00 it is a great deal, at 4 times as much money, look elsewhere for the next great deal. I think the plan is fine if their goal is to run off the loyal customer while seeking the bargain hunter.
