2015 Sturgis SD bikeweek

Rafter J is nice if you want full hookups and a pool.Custer State Park is very nice but only have electric hookups.

And it is the 50th Anniversary of the annual Buffalo Round-Up at Custer State Park, SD in late September. The Black Hills of South Dakota are going to be overwhelmed with visitors this year.

Rafter J Bar in Hill City would be a good base camp for either of these. Easy drive to both, camping a bit awayfrom the madding crowd

I do not see The Buffalo chip listed, They may be out of electric sites? But still may have dry camping.

If you plan to do anything at the Chip they are having a price increase Tuesday.

What is it you are looking for, boondocking or hookups, what size RV, close proximity to Sturgis or quieter, entertainment on site?

We have camped at the Custer KOA three times, we like it there.

On a side not I beleive they have changed it to Trailer Week as more bikes seem to be hauled there than rode there.

Skyflyer, yes it's during the rally. We not sure yet...

I would take the MH. We were there several years ago and had a terrible time finding a clean hotel. Have not been back in the area.
