2022 Plans for themed trips?

If you ever get to Pennsylvnaia, Ricketts Glen State Park has a trail that has 18 waterfalls. The stream splits at the top and you walk down one side and up the other. There are 15 waterfalls. If you go below where the stream comes back together there are 3 more. You need to be in good shape to navigate the trails but it is worth while if you love water falls.

PLEASE GOOGLE TRANSYLVANIA COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA, TO FIND THE WATERFALLS IN THAT AREA...THERE ARE MANY BEAUTIFUL ONES!

We haven't planned a trip so far for this year but we generally do a trip a year biking rail trails. We will day trip up to an hour for a trail head that we want to bike.

Can't say that we have ever set out to do a special 'themed' trip but there are some themes that seem to be common with every trip.

We need a bumper sticker that reads "CAUTION, quick stops. This vehicle stops at all quilt shops".

It also tends to be found on scenic roads & byways rather than interstates.

Themed trips , many years ago we started visiting places that were mentioned in country songs . We have visited " a tombstone every mile " in Maine , Wolfcreek Pass , we have crossed the Brazos at Waco , seen the girls in Kansas City ,saw the alley at the Alamo and several others

Not this year, but a couple of years ago, us and another couple had in lower Missouri & northern Arkansas a spring fall trip. Where we took in as many water falls as we could find. Then in the fall we hasd our, yep, our fall spring trip, seeing springs in the area.

White Water Falls. Falls are in SC/NC but you view them from NC. Highest water falls east of the Rockies.

Cumberland falls in Cumberland falls s p my. It’s the only place in the country that has a “ moon bo “ , but you have to be there at the right time of the month.

Check this out,Western North Carolina is really nice to visit. We spent 4 nights near Brevard and loved all the scenery.

If you get as far north as PA, my favorite state park is Rickets Glen. 21 waterfalls along a 6 mile trail. 2 campgrounds (dry camping) bathroom with hot showers.
