No, but @12v  I would expect your wiring and/or batteries to heat up.  Mine did under those conditions.
I'm running 48vdc.  Nothing gets warm.
The original 200 amp fuse was an anl and very thin. changed it out to a go-power 200 amp which has a little more meat and tried the water kettle again. monitored temp with infrared gun and fuse and lugs did not heat up but wire 2/0 going from battery monitor shunt heated up 7 degrees (it was 95 degrees when I did the test). Everything looked go no problem with new fuse but samlex inverter fan came on then GFCI tripped cutting off power. The original fuse blew (or melted) and a volt meter measured 145 amps when the fuse blowed. Trying to determine what is going on.
