Perhaps fuse ratings are somewhat exaggerated.
I have a TM-2025-RV Battery Monitor Package which has a shunt in the negative 2/0 wire. My 200 amp fuse is also in the neg wire. Yes, I know, normally fuses are in pos wire but believe guy who put my system together put it in neg wire due to logistics. neg wire was at back of cabinet so he could mount the fuse block in the plywood backing.
