I stayed at
Absaroka Bay CG at the south edge of town. FHUs + limited cable. WIFI is free but doesn't reach the far end of the CG. They asked me before assigning a site. No trees, but that doesn't matter at night. You'll be busy all day.
Everything in town is within a couple of miles of everything else. You can easily spend a couple of full days at the Buffalo Bill Historical Center. Five museums in one building. Have dinner at the Irma Hotel in town and stick around for the "gunfight" in the street every evening. Bill used to own the hotel. Also a rodeo each night, but it rained both nights I was there, so it was cancelled.
BTW, "Absaroka" is pronounced "Absorka" and nobody seems to know why. :)
