7th. Largest Stone Found at Crayer of Diamonds SP, AR!

Question

Young man found the 7th. largest diamond brought out of the park since it became part of the system. 7.44 carats is pretty good sized. Have been to this park 3 or 4 times and though I have had a good time, I've never been lucky enough to find anything of value. Good for him, though!

Some minister found a 300 Ct diamond in west Afrika a few weeks ago too.

When we lived in the Jacksonville AR back in my Air Force days we used to go to that place and spend all day there wandering around the fields. Never found a thing of value haha... My wife's mother from Texas found a couple of nice rocks one time...

Always made me think the owners would plant some diamonds there perhaps to keep everyone coming back...

Like they always say "getting outside with the family - Priceless!!!"

I just heard about this place. The wife and I thought it seemed like a good idea for a long weekend trip, especially as we've never been to Arkansas before, so made some reservations for May.

Quick question for anyone who has been there before- is the river big enough to go kayaking on?
