None of the campsites at Blackwoods or Sewall (NP CG's in Acadia NP) are on/near the water - they are a short walk - but the park loop road lays between both those CG's and the shorefront. There is a new CG opening up late this summer at the northern section - Schoodic Point - but I do not know the layout there... Reservations should be made, but they are not site-specific, other than the type of site (tent/RV/HC). We spend a lot of time at Acadia - after Labor Day is a great time to visit. The park map on the Acadia website shows the various bridge heights/clearances. Minimal issue getting to the CG's - driving the loop road is where you may have height issues. ST
