Advice on Niagra Falls

We don't live far from Niagara Falls. I would recommend either the Queenston/Lewiston Bridge or the Peace Bridge. For going to 4 Mile Creek S.P.
the Queenston bridge would be best. Note that you only pay bridge tolls when you cross from NY back into Canada. If you are returning to Michigan via US route, you will save approx $14 depending on your type of RV.

Definitely use the Lewiston Queenstown bridge. The Rainbow Bridge crosses between Niagara Falls NY and Niagara Falls Ont. and is always packed with tourists.

x4 on the recommendation for Four Mile Creek State Park, big sites, nice bathrooms & showers, 2 playgrounds. And you get free parking at Niagra Falls because it is also a state park!

Thanks everyone for the help and suggestions! I think we will avoid the rainbow bridge when traveling with the trailer, and check it out when we just visit the park.

We will be using canada for both halves of the trip. I haven't actually mapped out a route but my minds eye tells me that going through port huron to the falls and back again has to be a much shorter trip than going through NY, OH and the like.

Where you stay is a factor of what side of the border you will be spending most of your time. Most people feel that there is much more to do on the Canadian side and if you are staying on the Canadian side , no international border crossings with the associated line ups.
The 50 point Campground on the Canadian side is a nice location and not that far to the region and no waits at border crossings.

We enjoyed a stay at Fifty Point for our first (and only) visit to Niagara Falls. I have recommended it several times on various threads on this forum. Will do so again.

We crossed at Port Huron/Sarnia and then back into US at Niagara Falls, NY.

Travelling through Canada is going to be the fastest way. I have done both travelling back and forth to Silver Lake dunes in MI.

Nice to know on the campgrounds up there.

We travel back and forth between NY and MI six or seven times a year, and yes, the Port Huron/Sarnia run through southern Ontario to Queenston/Lewiston is the best route for us. We usually take a break at the Flying J in London to walk the dog and stretch our legs.

With kids, we stayed at Branches. It was very easy drive to falls like 10min. The sites were very spacious in the rear and kids loved the boat rentals and zip lining over the lake. We parked on NY side and cross bridge into Canada. You need passports to return into NY. We also visited the amusement park in Canada as well as other attractions in the area. It has very positive reviews on TripAdvisor so I think you will find it great for kids.

We stay at the Lundy's Lane KOA. sites are quite roomy and you can access the transit system from the front gate. No worries about parking etc...
The O Canada Eh variety show is next door and is well worth the money.
