Alabama State Park reservation system is awful

I gave up trying to find a period to schedule a visit to Gulf State Park Campground, online. Being retired, I'm pretty flexible as to when I could go. I was just looking for a week or so in April ...

I paid over $100 to stay for two nights there... their extra fees and taxes add up fast.

Just noticed that I can stay at a private campground nearby with Passport America for $15 a night.
