I read the discussion on RVPR, and allstays was recommended as an alternate.
I went to the site,I found maps a listing of camp grounds, but no reviews
I clicked on the review tab and was taken to a google page.
Did I not see something?
A listing of campgrounds and their claimed amenities is not real helpful.
I want the reviews.
Try this link
http://www.allstays.com/Campgrounds/ I have found the Allstays mobile app very useful when on the road as well as advanced planning. Allstays lists nearly all the campgrounds available including COEs, state and national parks. Not all will have reviews as the reviews come from the campers themselves instead of a commercial entity. Campers are encouraged to submit their reviews.
RVPR only lists those cgs with reviews instead of providing a comprehensive list of all available cgs. Their listings of cgs is limited and omits many simply because no one reviewed the park. Many reviews are 5 years old or more. Those reviews older than 3 are not useful to me as in that span of time a cg can decline markedly.
When planning a trip, we use the Allstays link above, TripAdvisor.com, and Woodalls. Using multiple sites will give you a fairly reasonable idea of what to expect. No site is perfect but some are far better than others. Allstays, TripAdvisor.com, and Woodalls serve our needs the best. I particularly like Allstays' routing helps with the clearances on bridges/tunnels and the reviews, dates of the cgs seasons, etc. Their links to the cg websites are all up to date so far as well. Take your time with Allstayscom and you'll discover quite a few features that aid in trip planning that other apps don't offer.
