I'm finding a lot of articles about altitude and depression. Studies have found there are more suicides in higher elevations. And now they're trying to figure out why the rate of teen suicide has almost tripled in Utah in 9 years. One theory is that Utah teens move more. The other is the elevation. The elevation hasn't changed of course but these teens might be moving to higher elevations, or coming from outside UT, from lower elevations, and might not understand what is happening to them. I had some seriously dark thoughts this week and I came into this move feeling like all was right with the world.
