Best approach, as always:
Do NOT enter a light-controlled intersection until the next-up vehicle has cleared it, and especially don't if a vehicle is blocking your view of the light!
Interesting side note:
I saw the lights...they were green and all cars on my right were moving through the intersection. However, not knowing this particular intersection, I did not realize that the green lights were straight ahead and that there was another set of lights (obscured from my view by the truck) that were for the left turns only...that is where the problem was.
