OK, we are at Pride resort in Waynesville/Maggie Valley in NC. I booked at the Passport America rate then was asked if I wanted a creek side site for $5 more per night and took that. The notes in passport say $5 per night utility fee also and that was ok too, I just think that should be in the site rate, not an add on. The amenity fee, $5 per night also, was the surprise because that wasn't told to me until I checked in, reservation in hand, no refunds so I couldn't just move on down the road. I questioned the amenity fee after we had been here 2 days and tried to use the store, which was closed and almost empty. I went to the office and asked what the hours of the store were and was told it isn't open till next week. I had also noticed that everything else really wasn't available to use or in usable condition so I asked them about the fee and they said they charge everyone that no matter. Now that's $25 in fees that you get nothing for as we are here for 5 nights. Now I will say that the park is nice. Clean showers/toilets, well maintained grounds and nice club house/facilities. Its just too bad they do business that way in my opinion, for all that's worth.
