Ann Arbor Area?
Any suggestions for decent camps in the Ann Arbor, Michigan, area. . . say within 15-20 miles or so. Son's family has a wedding to attend and we are babysitting. I would like recommendations about ...

Hi Dale. Detroit Greenfield - haven't been there in probably 15 yrs but at that time it was a very typical KOA on a small lake. Wouldn't be my fave but would do in a pinch. Never been to the fairgrounds.
You might consider Sterling State Park on Lake Erie. Haven't scoped out the miles but think it is within or close to your parameters. Nice park. Newish. Straight south on US 23 to Dundee and then east to Monroe. Modern CG with 50 amp. It would be my choice for a relaxing weekend. If you're just looking for a day/nite and gone, and want dry camping, consider Cabelas in Dundee. Formal RV overnight parking in the rear - nice and quiet and restaurants and of course Cabelas within easy walking distance.
Another possibility on the outside edge of your criteria, would be Waterloo Portage SP east of Jackson. It would be on your route from your present location to A2. Sharon and I used to weekend there a lot in the fall and it was a great place. Course that was probably 25-30 yrs ago so I can't vouch for it now. But it was a very nice cg with full hookups and large sites, many with lake views.
North of A2 along US 23 you won't find much. If I remember right, there is a membership cg just off 23 west of Pontiac. It may be within your mileage criteria but with traffic, it would be a long slog.
How's your back doing?
