Annapolis MD

Had a wonderful day in Annapolis. Parking was not an issue, all RV's park in the Navy/Marine Memorial stadium parking lot ($10 a day - no overnite parking), about a haf mile outside of town right on your way in. The shuttle to town runs every 20 minutes and cost $2 roundtrip for both of us.

We walked around the Naval Academy and all of Annapolis. Had a fantastic seafood lunch at Buddy's overlooking the waterfront. :B
  • I second Davis pub in Eastport. Great food and when I used to go there all the time they knew you.
  • Great little city, beautiful water views. If you are still there, try Davis Pub for a bite. Great local watering hole with really good food.
It was on Diners Drive-ins and Dives too.

    Where did you stay?
  • I love Annapolis, I've just never had a really good meal there. I've tried Buddy's and for us- it was mediocre. I've hit a couple of the bar-like places and had the same so-so experience. The only good meal we had was at Ruth's Chris- but that's way more than I want to spend on a normal night out!
  • Sssshhh...don't tell them about the Eastern Shore. Best kept secret on the East Coast. Some great SPs over there & places like St Michaels to see.

Glad you enjoyed our little town, Lots more to see and do in the area. Hope you were able to get either on the water or a great view of the water -- Severn Inn is a great spot on the River with an Outside deck Bar, with a view of the Severn and the Naval Academy.

After Annapolis you need to head over to Veebees side and enjoy the Eastern Shore.

    BOL,
  • Love going to Annapolis. Had a sail boat there for years. You are right about the boat show but it us way smaller then it used to be. Kind of like the RV shows.
  • Glad you had a good time. People come to this area all of the time and Annapolis is often overlooked in favor of DC. As you discovered, it's an excellent city to tour.
  • Best time for Annapolis is October for the boat shows. Want to see something that makes RVing look dirt cheap?
  • Welcome to MD! Glad you enjoyed Annapolis, fun town. Lots to enjoy here and nearby.
Washington, DC and the Smithsonian Museums,Fort McHenry, Harper's Ferry National Park is an hour west. Shenandoah National Park a few hours south and much more.

Hope you enjoy your time here!
