Agree with NCWriter as we generally do it the same way. We figure that our trips are three part - the planning, the doing, and the memories.
I have been blessed in my photo work - awards and even some international acclaim.
But I would bet that NCWriter is like me - do it mainly for ourselves. Capturing God's great beauty is both rewarding and a challenger for me. And DW (as of 50 years yesterday) has become not only supportive but gaining photographic insight as well. So much to see and shoot, too little time as my sand in mostly in the bottom of the hourglass! :-)
