RV Parks, Campgrounds AND ATTRACTIONS. Yellowstone certainly qualifies.

According to snoops:

"Nineteen scalding deaths have been recorded in connection with Yellowstone's hot springs since 1870, all of them known or believed to have involved people who inadvertently fell into the springs through accident or carelessness — save one."

Got to pay attention throughout the park.

Some are. The NPS doesn't make trails ADA compliant or provide guard rails for all trails. Trails are for people with experience hiking. You have to be aware of your surroundings and the risks.

This young girl went off the trail and got too close to the edge.

The leading cause of death at Yellowstone, also most other US national parks, is automobile accidents. A high percentage of which are motorcycles. Folks don't pay attention to their driving as much in national parks as they do elsewhere. But dying in a car wreck in a national park isn't 'tragic news'. A young child falling to their death is.

Man how horrible her family must feel. Such a horrific tragedy at what was supposed to be a fantastic adventure.

Several people die in Yellowstone every year. Most often its a tragedy that could have been prevented, like this one. Personally I consider even one death like this a "surge".

Not a surge, but a 22 year old died last Monday while tubing on the Lamar River. His body was recovered this past Friday. That's two deaths within a time frame of 7 days.

A 22 year old man died in the Yellowstone River. They recovered his body yesterday.

There was a death in the Black Hills also!
