A 2nd residence has to be claimed. We file an 8840 but earn no money nor work and the unit would be for storage only not for use while stored.. I know if you leave a yacht here it has to go out of country for 21 days (cruising permit) or it becomes a taxable asset.
Hence my inq's re leaving it as I want to know what others have found out. I know there are those that just leave it uninsured and mums the word but if you want to insure it then reg etc is rq;d..
