The Rendevous is where the tourists eat and is overpriced. You an argue all day about BBQ in Memphis but many locals enjoy Central BBQ or the BBQ shop.
Gibson Factory and the Civil Rights Museum are interesting. We thought Sun Studio tour was not much - you look at the room and a gift shop. Mud Island Museum is also good - it has an outdoor replication of the Mississippi River.
Tom Saywer RV Park gets great reviews. Another option in Northern MS is Hernando Point COE campground.

many of the locals also eat at Denny's but that doesn't mean I would recommend everyone go there. You go for the experience as much as the food. First time visitor to memphis there's a handful of things you should do and one of those IMO is to go eat at the rendevous.
