I've gone across I-40 in Jan. but it wasn't always good. Laid over in Amarillo for several days in the snow. Better to go across on I-10.
Yeah us. We both retired this year. We are leaving right after New Years. First big stop Quartzite then Yuma then who knows LOL. Still looking at our route from NYC to Arizona, worried about the weather. Thinking get as far south as possible as soon as possible. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You're correct in getting as far south fast. Plan to take I-10 across. The other highways are not good to travel in January. - ceasareExplorerYeah us. We both retired this year. DW has some potential medical issues, should find out more this week.
Hopefully we won't be leaving it too late, would like to go from early Dec to mid April. We were thinking of southeast Texas.

- pawattExplorerBring your fishing pole. If it gets to cold there head down to the Rio Grande Valley for awhile.
