For any given washboarding, there is a specific speed where it all smooths out. that speed varies by vehicle and conditions. The problem is if you are towing the speed will be different for trailer then the vehicle, so you may be smooth but the trailer is being shook to pieces.
Also, washboarding is caused by driving fast on a smooth unsurfaced road. By driving at the speed where it is smooth to you make it worse for the next person.
