Anyone ever been to the Pisgah forrest in NC?

Davidson River has a spot where you can fill your fresh water when you first pull in - and there are several common spigots on each loop (if you bring enough hose, you can refill from these if needed - we never need to). The temps in the hottest of summer hardly ever get to 80 - and it gets low 60's at night. You don't need A/C, so as long as you can go without the microwave also, you don't need 110.

May is beautiful here! Yes, 70s & 80s maybe cooler in the morning. I grew up biking at Davidson River and it is a nice place beside the river with easy access to the rest of the forest.

If you want to camp up a long gravel road and be near Wilson's Creek, check out the Mortimer campground. While in the area, you may want to look for the 'Brown Mountain Lights'.

Correct, loop is up front, not super woodsy, but sites spaced out.

Take a look at Lake Powhatan Campground also
in the same forest. They have one loop full
Hook ups. It's 12 miles from downtown Asheville. We go every year
for two weeks.

Curtis creek looks cool but primitive. Davidson River looks like a nice place tho. Do u know if the sites with electric are set back in the woods like i saw in the pictures? Any info about the rv sites would be awesome!

Thanks guys for the input. I love that area, been there several times just not in a camper. Bought a 31' Outback last year and this is our first long trip. Ill check into those campgrounds.
